GEORGE C. MILLER 1935 - 2001 It is with great sadness our family announces the passing of George Colin "Dusty" Miller at the Grace General Hospital following a short battle with cancer. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his loving wife of 42 years, Elsie; his daughter Sharon (Rolf) Dorsch; son Glenn (Rachel) his two grandchildren, Kyla and Kristin. He also leaves to mourn his passing, his three brothers, four sisters, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Colin was born in Shubenacadie Hants Co., Nova Scotia and was in the Armed Forces for 25 years. He moved his family to Winnipeg following his retirement from the forces and did carpentry work at the base until he retired at age 60. He will be remembered as a kind, loving, and devoted husband, father and grandfather. His sense of humour brought smiles to everyones faces. He loved nothing better than going fishing with family and friends. The family wishes to express their thanks to Dr. Harris and the staff on the 4th floor of Grace Hospital for their efforts, kindness and cooperation during our time with them. We also want to thank the family and friends who gave us their support. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Friday, August 31 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with a reception to follow. Acting as honorary pallbearers are Joe Weiokaupt, Chuck Shaffer, Ed Lypchuk, Harry Naugler, Ron Casson, and Jerry Burgess. Committal to follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
