Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD SAMS (DON) CHASE Donald Sams (Don) Chase, beloved husband of Eve Chase of Airdrie, AB, passed away at the Peter Lougheed Centre on August 26, 2001, at the age of 85 years. Besides his loving wife, Don is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne Chase and Karen Ross of Kamloops, BC; a daughter and son-in-law, Lucille and John Hagel of Airdrie, AB; four grandchildren, Trevor, Tim, Andrea, and Mark; and four great-grandchildren, Kohl, Kian, Kobe, and Kailee. He is also survived by a brother William Chase of Carman, MB, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. At Dons request, no funeral service will be held. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of the donors choice. In living memory of Don Chase, a tree will be planted at Fletcher Park, Airdrie, by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, "Airdrie Funeral Home", 300 TOWERLANE DRIVE, AIRDRIE, ALBERTA. Sorry to hear about Don he was a great friend and a mentor. Don spent the whole summer at his cottage on long bow lake when I took the manager job for North American Lumber 12 years ago to help me out. He enjoyed having my wife (Kim) and myself out for dinner at the cottage . He always enjoyed Kim's pies that she would take to him. He always stopped in to see me on his to the cottage.
