Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALEXANDER STEWART PATTERSON Alex passed away peacefully on August 28, 2001 at Poseidon Care Centre at the age of 92. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Pauline; and her children Ernestine Bonneau, Joyce Garner, Grace Wessner, Ed Griffith, and Gwen Pattison. Alex was the son of George and Jenny Patterson and is survived by his sisters, Jean and Helen, and his brother David. He was predeceased by his brother James, his sister Isabel and his stepson Arthur Griffith. Alex was born on April 24, 1909, in Carmen, MB. He lived many years in Cypress River, Lac du Bonnet and Winnipeg. He had a lifetime career with the C.P.R., retiring in 1974. He and Pauline travelled extensively, visiting family and friends in Canada, the United States, England, Scotland, France, and Australia. He gave his time generously helping others and was a lifelong contributor to many charitable organizations. He will be missed by his 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren as well as his many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. The family wishes to thank his many care-givers at Arlington Haus, the Grace General Hospital, and the Poseidon Care Centre. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 1, at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Arrangements in care of: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
