Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMURIEL LOUISE ANDERSON (nee MacMILLAN) December 19, 1909 - August 29, 2001 On August 29, 2001 one of Gods angels was called home. Our Mom, Muriel Louise Anderson, died peacefully at the Womens Hospital. She is survived by her daughters, Wendy and Heather; granddaughters, Kelly (Lee), Jodie and Jaime; grandson Tyler. Muriel is also survived by her brothers, Morris (Alice), Rolland (Rita), Archie (Dorothy), Ken, Sonny (Neil) (Faye) and her sister, Chriss Bowman. Muriel is also survived by her stepmom Gladys, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Les; grandson Kyle Garvie; sisters, Amy Larcombe and Elsie Larame. Despite the obstacles life threw at Mom, she was always there with a helping hand, whether it was baking, cutting the grass, being out in the rain unplugging the clogged sewer or just stopping by for a friendly chat. Whatever she could do for you, she just did it in her usual exuberant happy way. Her caring, giving nature was shared. Muriel enjoyed watching sports on T.V. especially Hockey (shes probably talking someones ear off over the 72 "Russia - Canada" right now!) Mom was an avid curler and a longtime member of Valour Road Curling Club. Even though she had a debilitating back problem, she continued to curl five times a week till she was 79 years old. Mom loved to garden, whether it was her special flowers or her vegetables. Some of her best chats were shared with her numerous budgies. Family was very important to Mom. She was never happier then when she was arranging showers or family reunions. Muriels family wishes to thank those staff at Central Park Lodge No. 1, whom cared for our Mom with dignity and respect. Wed also like to thank the wonderful nursing staff in the W5 Ward. They gave us unlimited understanding and support during Moms final days. Funeral service for Mom is on Wednesday, September 5 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Ave. Viewing prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Ty Garvie, Bobby Larcombe, Ron Lowe, Brian MacMillan, Ed Garvie and Lee McLauchlan. Flowers gratefully declined. Anyone wishing to do so, can send donations to the Childrens Wish Foundation. Mom believed children were the most important people and so her grandchildren will have the last say - Gramma, you were always so sweet, kind and patient, without your love our family just wouldnt have been complete. We have our memories of fun filled Sunday suppers, sneaking cookies when we thought you werent looking, sharing our love of sports and the outdoors. We know that whatever we do, wherever we go, you will always be watching, and encouraging us from above. Love, Kelly, Jody, Jaime and Ty, XOXOXOXOXO Love you Mom
