Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADOLFINE (LINA) REICH July 7, 1913 - August 29, 2001 It is with deep pain and great sadness that we announce the sudden passing, at the age of 88 years, of our much loved mother and grandmother. Left with many treasured memories are her loving son Armin Stojke; daughter-in-law Angie; grandson Bill; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Olga and Ewald Boese; daughter Hiltrud; sister-in-law Olga Matusiak; and niece Alice Buttke of Toronto; nephew Max Vetter and wife Heidi of Kelowna, BC; Helmut Gerwin and Heinz Vetter and their families residing in Germany. Lina was predeceased by parents and sister, Elma Prill of Germany. Lina was born in Laschewo, Poland in 1913 where she lived out her childhood years in Poland and Germany. In 1936, she married Robert Neitz, who 10 months later, died of a brain tumour. IN 1937, she married a widower named Oskar Stojke, who had a six month old baby son, named Armin. Oskar was killed during the war and Lina continued to raise Armin as her own. In 1950, Lina and her son ventured to Canada, settling in Winnipeg, where in 1953 she met and married Wilhelm Reich, with whom she shared 32 happy years. Wilhelm passed away in 1985. Lina was an excellent seamstress and while in Winnipeg, she worked in H.R. Sewing Factory for 18 years and another 10 years at Health Sciences Centre. The three of the most important things in Linas life, were her church and her belief in God and her grandson Bill, who was 10 feet tall in her eyes and he was "THE LIGHT OF HER LIFE". After spending close to 10 years in her house alone, Lina then took up residence at Bethel Place where she had been ever so happy. She remained there until her death. The family would like to give loving thanks to Gunda and Kurt Hellmann for all the love and care they gave Lina over so many years. She loved you both very much. Also many thanks to the staff at Bethel Place, for all the support and for being there when we needed you. And especially for Ray and Sharon, you both had a very special corner in Moms heart. Funeral service will be held at St. Peters Lutheran Church, 65 Walnut St. in Winnipeg, at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4. Burial at Garry Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
