ALEX SEREDA On Wednesday, August 30, 2001 at his residence, Mr. Alex Sereda aged 82 years passed away. Alex is survived by his Aunts, Minnie Lentowich of Dugald and Helen Saramaga of Hazelridge as well as his cousins. He was predeceased by his father Ononfrey, in 1958, his mother Jessie in 1991 and his sister Marie in infancy. Alex was born at the family farm in Eastdale, MB. on April 4, 1919. He remained there until his death raising livestock and crops. In his later years, he semi-retired from the farm, and enjoyed the company of his many friends, neighbours and family. He used this time to talk about farming and lifes other pleasures. A special thanks comes from the family to the friends and neighbours who visited regularly and kept a watchful eye out for him. Prayers will be said on Monday, September 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel in Beausejour. Divine liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 4 at 10:30 a.m. in the Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Eastdale with Rev. Fr. Ernie Hafichuk officiating. Interment will follow in the Cloverleaf Catholic Cemetery.
