Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBERNARD WALTER BITTERN Suddenly on Wednesday, August 29, 2001 at Berens River, Bernard Walter Bittern passed away at the age of 43 years. Bernard was born at Berens River on March 19, 1958, living there his entire life. He was a pulp wood cutter-operator for 28 years. He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory his wife Wilma; one son Harry; one stepson Martin; two daughters, Margaret and Hailey; three brothers, Andrew (Margaret), Marcel and Albert; mother-in-law Violet Patrick (Ronald) best friend Edward Kemp; one aunt Mary McKay; and one uncle Arthur Felix. There are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry, September 26, 1996 and Helen, November 29, 1990; sisters, Dorothy Green, November 25, 1971 and Carmel Berens, June 23, 1985; daughter Karianna Goosehead, September 23, 2000 and baby infant son Frances Bittern, November 25, 1998. Prayers were said on Thursday, August 30 at 8:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg. Wake services will be held on Friday, August 31, Saturday, September 1 and Sunday, September 2 at the residence of Andrew Bittern. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 3 at 2:00 p.m. at the Berens River Community Centre, with Fr. Rheal Forest officiating. Interment to follow at the Berens River Cemetery.
