Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCATHERINE MARION WINDSOR (nee LAEWETZ) Kae passed away peacefully after a brief illness in the presence of her family on August 31, 2001. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Joe and Bud; and sister Dorothy; her favourite Aunties Elizabeth and Jessie, and her husband Harvey. She is survived by her three children, Bev. Hooper (Bob), Lorraine Iees (Ken), Bill Windsor (Flo) six grandchildren, Glen Hooper, Heather Hooper, Vanessa Worthington (Darrel), Veraine Iees (Shayne), Steve Windsor (Michelle), and David Windsor (Nancy) and nine great-grandchildren; her two sisters, Helen Graham (Ken) and Audrey Essex (Jim) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was born and brought up in Fort Rouge, the oldest girl of Harry and Sarah Laewetz. She attended Lord Roberts and Kelvin High Schools where she excelled in track and field. She spent most of her married life living up north in Kanuchewan Rapids, Gods Lake, Bissett and finally settling in Pine Falls were she raised her children. In 1969 she became a Licensed Practical Nurse, working in Misericordia Hospital in the Maternity Ward until retirement. She loved to curl, golf and swim, and lawn bowl. She was also an accomplished artist. The family wish to thank the Pine Falls Hospital staff for their care and compassion and especially Dr. W. Olefse. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at Pine Falls United Church on Tuesday, September 4 at 1:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined please donate to your favourite charity.
