Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY JANZ (nee SHYLEGA) Mary Janz (nee Shylega) passed away peacefully on August 31, 2001 at Brandon General Hospital. Mary was born November 23, 1914 in Rivers, Manitoba. She served with the RCAF at Gander, Newfoundland. Mary lived and worked with MTS in Rivers, Portage la Prairie and Winnipeg. She retired from MTS in 1971, after 25 years of service. She married Lloyd and moved to Cranbrook, British Columbia. Mary and Lloyd returned to Manitoba in 2000, residing in Brandon. Mary was predeceased by brothers, John and Bert, sister Violet, and nephew Barry. She will be missed by her husband Lloyd, step sons, Wayne Janz (Leslie Sinclair) and Gregg Janz (Julienne Colbow) granddaughter Barrie; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Many thanks to Dr. Altheld and the staff at Brandon General Hospital, Judy Hale (sister-in-law), Marilyn Forsyth (niece), Shelley Semeniuk (neighbour in Cranbrook), Cecille Borean and Sophie Chimilar (long time friends), friends and staff at River Heights Terrace. Your kindness and support is greatly appreciated. Services will be held on Tuesday, September 4 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church in Souris, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, in memory of Mary, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Kowalchuks Funeral Home, Souris, Manitoba, in care of arrangements.
