She was active in the United Church, the U.C.W., and the Agricultural Society. Most recently, she took part in the gathering and compiling of family histories for a community history book. She enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, music and caring for her home and family. Edythe took great joy in her daughters and their families, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at the Gladstone United Church on Thursday, September 6 at 2:00 p.m. with Blair Whyte officiating. Interment will follow at the Gladstone Cemetery. Special thanks to the staff at the Health Sciences Centre, especially to Dr. Gurpal Sandha for his care and concern. As an expression of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Edythes memory to the Gladstone United Church Memorial Fund, or to the charity of ones choice.
