Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHARON MARGARET GILLESPIE (nee McARTHUR) Sharon Margaret Gillespie (nee McArthur) passed away peacefully on Friday, August 31, 2001 at the Minnedosa District Hospital. Sharon was born on November 14, 1947 at Portage la Prairie. Sharons early years were spent enjoying farm life in the Longburn area. She received her education in Longburn, Macdonald, Portage la Prairie and Winnipeg. She married Terry on February 11, 1967 and became a work at home mom in 1971. After raising her family, she continued on with her career as a cosmetology instructor in Brandon and then manager of Hairitage House, Merle Norman Cosmetics, until her retirement. Sharon enjoyed her retirement with Terry, family and friends at Thomas Lake, winter travel and her grandchildren. She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory her husband Terry; son Kurt (Julia) of Calgary; daughter Kimberly (Dale) Heide of Mordon; grandchildren, Mackenzie and Landon. Also surviving are her sisters, Judy (Russ) Mason of Regina and Beth (Glen) Adrain of Macdonald; brothers, Jeff (Lorie) McArthur of Winnipeg and Doug (Dana) McArthur of Minnedosa; father-in-law Harry Gillespie of Macdonald; brother-in-law Dale (Joanne) Gillespie of Edmonton; sister-in-law Valerie (Rick) Isfeld of Macdonald; nieces, nephews, numerous family and friends. Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Daniel and Bernice McArthur and mother-in-law Violet Gillespie. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the loving care and support shown to us from the palliative care unit in Erickson/Sandy Lake; also, the nurses, Dr. Bright and staff at the Minnedosa District Hospital. A service of remembrance will be held at Central United Church, Brandon on Friday, September 7 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Joan Jarvis officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sharon may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415-1st St., Brandon, MB, R7A 2W8. Arrangements are in care of Brockie Donovan, 727-0694.
