JOHN KOZAK On Sunday, September 2, 2001 at St. Boniface Hospital, John peacefully passed away. John was born in Komarno, MB on July 5, 1935. John was predeceased by his parents, William (Bill) and Maria; sisters, Ann Kresey and Pauline Boitson; brothers, Jack and Mike, as well as an infant sister. John is survived by his brother Peter; his wife Lola; daughters, Janet and son-in-law Darryl Nelson, Maria and son-in-law Nathan Anderson; granddaughter Sarah (Gedos Angel) and son Richard, as well as numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousin Pete Gerylo. John was a kind hearted man who thought of others before himself. He spent most of his years as a mechanic and medalworker, but Johns true passion was farming. He fulfilled this dream in recent years raising cattle and providing an animal shelter. A special thank you to the staff in palliative care and nurse Jannell in MICU at St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Street, Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 6 at 2:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
