RUNTZ Peacefully on Saturday, September 1, 2001, at the Grace General Hospital, Norman died at the age of 80 years, beloved husband of Margaret of Winnipeg, MB. Norman was born in Yorkton, SK. He served in the Navy during the Second World War and worked as a radio announcer in Yorkton and Regina. He served as sponsor of Dale Carnegie Courses in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Music was his passion and he played many instruments and joyfully sang in the choir at his church, Broadway - First Baptist Church. Besides his wife Margaret, of 51 years of marriage, remaining to forever cherish Normans memory are his children, Sheelagh Komus (Scott) and their children, Chris, Heather and Marlene; Robert Runtz (Lindsey) and their children, Stephanie and Tim; Cathy McGimpsey (Guy) and their children, Roxanne and Rosalee all of Winnipeg, and Marsha Runtz and Richard Stille and their son Ryan of Victoria, BC; brother Gordon (Anne) of Regina; as well as a niece, nephews, relatives and friends. A Service of Remembrance celebrating Normans life will be held on Friday, September 7 at 1:00 p.m. in Broadway - First Baptist Church, 790 Honeyman Ave., at the corner of Honeyman and Walnut, with Rev. Fred Rupert officiating. Our family would like to express our sincere thanks to the staff on 3 North at the Grace General Hospital. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Normans memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2, or to the charity of ones choice.
