GRACE EVELYN TULLY Peacefully on Sunday, September 2, 2001, at the Lions Prairie Manor, Portage la Prairie, Grace Evelyn Tully, a resident of the Lions Prairie Manor, widow of the late James William Lee Tully passed away at the age of 90 years. Funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church, 102-3rd St. S.E., Portage la Prairie on Thursday, September 6, 2001, at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the family plot at the Oakville Cemetery. Grace Evelyn Tully of Portage la Prairie was born on June 1, 1911 in Brandon, MB, the daughter of John and Agnes Flaws of Rapid City, MB. On December 7, 1960, she was united in marriage to Lee Tully and they farmed at Curtis Siding until Lee passed away in 1980. She then moved to Portage la Prairie where she has resided since that time. She had no children of her own, but found great enjoyment in Lees family, especially the grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Grace became a Christian, trusting Christ as her Saviour, at the age of 21. She was later baptized in 1934. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Predeceased by her husband Lee in 1980, brother Cecil in 1996, step-son Jack in 2000, step-daughter Frances in 2000 and her husband Eddie Drain in 2001, she leaves to mourn her passing her step-sons, Kalman "Kal" (Irma) of Newton, Lorne (Osono "Sally") step-daughter-in-law Grace, all of Curtis Siding; step-daughters, Marion Hogaboam of Nakusp, BC, Ruth (Fred) Beyschek of Rural Portage, Hazel (David) King of Winnipeg, and Joyce Tully of Petersfield, MB; 28 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brother Frank (Eva) Flaws of Morris, MB; sister-in-law Isa of Taber, AB, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation and viewing for family, relatives and friends will be held at the church prior to the service. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 102-3rd St. S.E., Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 1M5.
