LINDA KING (nee McIVOR) Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, Linda died at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Sunday afternoon, September 2, 2001, aged 53 years. Beloved wife of Jim and devoted mother to Adam and Justin. Dear sister and aunt of Judy and her husband Eugene Yarish of Victoria, BC and their sons, Bob, Benji and Michael. She is also lovingly remembered by Janet (Jennie) King, Nancy and her husband Donald MacDonald and Margaret King and her husband David Shaw and their families all of Winnipeg. Linda will be fondly remembered by a large circle of friends for her warmth and caring personality. She was predeceased by her parents, Margaret and James McIvor of Winnipeg and her mother and father-in-law Jessie Winchester (Winnie) and Reginald Alfred King. Lindas family received friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S. in Waterloo, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4. A service to celebrate Lindas life, led by her friends, will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, September 5 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Immediately following the service, friends and relatives are invited to the Reception Room of the funeral home for refreshments and a time to visit with the family.
