NORMA ELIZABETH OGSTON (nee MATTSON) December 8, 1921 - September 4, 2001 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our wife, mother and grand-mother at the Riverview Health Centre on Tuesday, September 4, 2001, after a lengthy illness. Norma was predeceased by her loving parents, Sarena and Lars Mattson. She is remembered with love by Raymond, her husband of 56 years; and their children, Sandra (Gilbert) Ludwig, Jeanine (Clinton) Sahulka, Donna (Brad) Harlos all of Winnipeg and Fraser (Marilyn) of Brampton, ON. She will also be missed by her four grandchildren whom she adored, Greg, Jenna, Colin and Spencer. She is also survived by her brother Wilfred (Swede) Mattson, his wife Dorothy and their children, all of Two Mountains, PQ. She is also survived by in-laws, cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews across the country. Norma was a very friendly and outgoing individual who had many interests. She was very proud of her Swedish heritage and was a lifetime member of the Order of Vasa (Vasa Lund). Ray and Norma twice travelled to Sweden visiting with both of her parents relatives. Mom enjoyed having her family for dinner, and her times at the family cottage at West Hawk Lake. She loved to play the piano, play cards, write in her diary and travel. Moms fondest memories were her grandchildren and the time spent with them. Norma was a devoted member of Jehovahs Witnesses, which gave her great spiritual strength. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. G. Hanks, Dr. J. Lezak and his staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital, the V.O.Ns who visited her home and the staff at Riverview Health Centre. The family would like to thank everyone for all the food, flowers, cards and well wishes sent in the last few weeks. Thank you for the visits while Norma was able, and respecting her privacy at the end. Memorial service will be held on Friday, September 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. with Mr. John Bodner officiating. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of their choice. Mom, you were loved and will be missed. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
