TONY BARCHUK May 18, 1925 - September 4, 2001 Our father, grandfather and loving husband passed away suddenly at home on September 4, 2001 at the age of 76 years. Tony was born and raised in Winnipeg. He worked 23 years with the CNR, pursued numerous business ventures and finished his career working with the Manitoba Govt. He retired along with his wife at the age of 62 and devoted much of his time to helping others, particularly his family and the Lions Club of Selkirk of which he was a Charter Member. He will be forever missed by his wife of 47 years, Bernice, sons Marc and Jonathon; daughter Marlene; daughter-in-law Gail; son-in-law Peter and five grandsons, Nathon, Evan, Matthew, Owen and Fraser. Special thanks to Rose, Ray and Jerry Desjardins for their friendship and support. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Funeral Service following at 10:00 a.m. also at the Chapel. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Your tireless energy and guidance will be missed , but never forgotten. To live in the hearts you leave behind is to live forever .
