CHARLES MICHEAL MAHONEY Peacefully on September 4, 2001 at the Grace Hospital, Charles was called home at the age of 79 years. Left to cherish his memory is wife Kathleen; sons, Glenn (Ellen), Garry, and Robert (Cathy) daughters, Heather (Barton) Somers and Michelle (Rick) Reid; grandsons, Nicholas, Jason and Jonathon; siblings, Arthur, Francis, Theresa and Mary and nu by his parents, three brothers and grandson Cody. Charles was born in Montreal on June 7, 1922 and made his way to merous nieces and nephews. Charles is predeceasedFlin Flon, MB, in 1946 where he obtained employment with Midwest Drilling. In 1982, he transferred to the Winnipeg head office until he retired in 1991 after 45 years of faithful service. While in Flin Flon, Charles was very active in the Church and community organizations including Kinsmen, Rotary, Abbey Credit Union and the Knights of Columbus. Charles was also an avid fisherman and duck hunter and enjoyed the Flin Flon area. Special thanks to the nurses and caregivers of Oakview Care Home, the emergency staff of Grace Hospital, Dr. Mould and Neil Bardal Inc., for your kindness and concern. Cremation has taken place and a service of remembrance will be held in Flin Flon on September 10 at 2:00 p.m., in the St. Annes Catholic Church with Father Bourbonnais officiating. Interment of Charless ashes will take place at the Ross Lake Cemetery. Dadsons Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
