HENRY DERKSEN With great sadness, the family of Henry Derksen announced his passing on September 5, 2001 at Morris General Hospital. He was 80 years old. Henry was a loving, dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He leaves to mourn his wife of 57 years Ann; his sons, Ken (Robyn) and Dennis (Sheila) daughters, Debbie (Marcel) and DeeDee (Al) grandchildren, Christine (Doug), Elise, Kendra, Cory, Natisha (Jean-Guy), Holly, Joshua, Colleen, Steven and Jillian; great-grandchildren, Justin, Kelsey, Chance, Teddy and Braxton; one sister Helen (Hiebert). Dads greatest joy came from spending time with family, especially when we were all together. He looked on at each one of his grandchildren with so much pride and made sure they knew it. Trips to the Zoo, big birthday celebrations, family barbecues, any occasion to get together made Dads life full. His kind, gentle manner, and ever-present smile will be missed very much. His strength, quiet dignity and love of family will remain with us always. A memorial service was held Saturday, September 8 at the United Church in Altona, Rev. Lesley Calder officiating. If friends or family so desire, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association in Henrys memory. Well miss our V.I.P. "Very Important Pop."
