Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOCELYN VINCENT July 6, 1992 - September 6, 2001 In loving memory of our beloved daughter Jocelyn who left us on Wednesday, September 6, 2001 at home, in the arms of her loving parents, with her brother at her side, at the age of 9 years. Jocelyn was predeceased by her brother Justin in 1990 and grandfather Therence Vincent in 1996. Left to cherish Jocelyns memory are her loving parents, Donald and Simone; brother Marc; grandmother Lorraine Vincent; grandparents, Mary-Jane and George Trudeau; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jocelyns main goal in life was to become a Veterinarian, she loved all living creatures, her birds "Snow and Grey", her special dog "Angel" and her cat "Dewey". Jocelyn was diagnosed with a fatal brain stem tumour in March 1999. She underwent two major surgeries, radiation and Chemo Therapy without fear. The road to recovery has been a challenge, not only to Jocelyn, but all the members of her family and her caregivers. There were a lot of special moments that we will cherish forever. Jocelyn had the strength, the will, the power and the hope to go on. Throughout her illness Jocelyn managed to maintain quality of life as normal as possible, going to school, swimming, quading, fishing, enjoying arts and crafts, baking (especially cracking eggs to make chocolate cake), also canning tomatoes for her special spaghetti sauce. Jocelyn has touched the lives of all who met her, with her persistence and charm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 10 at 2:00 p.m., in Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church, Ste. Anne, MB, with viewing at 1:00 p.m. A private family interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Jocelyns memory to the Childrens Hospital Research Foundation, CE501-801 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1S1 or Childrens Wish Foundation, 350 St. Marys Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J2. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Christante, Dr. Rochelle Yanofsky, Cathy Borne, Dr. Patel, all team and staff members at Childrens Hospital for giving Jocelyn the quality of care she received. Special thank you to family and friends who have followed us through these difficult times. "Jocelyns wish in Life was to fly like an angel. Our precious little girl has earned her wings, fly high with pride and be free." GREEN ACRES FUNERAL CHAPEL 222-3241
