DORA E. (NELLIE) MARKLE (COLLINS) Peacefully, with her family by her side, Nellie Markle passed away at the Grace Hospital on Wednesday, September 5, 2001, at the age of 91. Nellie was predeceased by her first husband Floyd Collins in 1969; her second husband Jim Markle in 1986; five brothers and two sisters. Nellie will be lovingly remembered by her son Ken (Jean) Collins, Helen (Markle) Ryan and her husband Glen and their family; her brother Ken; sister Ruth (George) and their families; grandchildren, Wes Collins, Kelly (Don) Gross, and Jackie Collins (Chris Besko) her great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She greatly enjoyed her visits with her great-grandchildren, Marcus, Destiny, Darris, and Samuel. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 8 at 12:30 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations in Nellies memory may be made to the CNIB, 1080 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3G 9Z9, or to a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the staff at the Grace Hospital ICU and 4th Floor, as well as staff at the Tuxedo Villa Nursing Home. Special thanks to Deb, Pat, Cathy, and Edna.
