SANDRA PHYLLIS ALLEN (nee ARMOOGUM) December 12, 1950 - September 1, 2001 Sandra passed away on September 1, 2001 in Powell River, BC after a long and courageous battle against cancer. She leaves to mourn her husband Wayne, sister Carol (John) Mills, brothers, Horace "Bunny", Frank (Marilyn), and Rawle "Kit" Armoogum, her nephews, nieces, aunts, uncle, cousins and numerous friends. Sandra was born in Couva, Trinidad. She moved in 1967 to Winnipeg and was employed as a flight attendant for 25 years with Air Canada. After her retirement in 1997, Sandra and Wayne moved to Powell River. She supported many charitable causes and participated in numerous fundraising events organized by flight attendants at the Winnipeg Base. Sandra touched many lives and will be remembered for her generosity, compassion, optimism, courage and caring nature. A memorial service was held on September 5 in Powell River. There will be a celebration of Sandras life in Winnipeg, on Saturday, September 22. Please phone 837-8987. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the B.C.
