HAZEL SMITH Suddenly and peacefully on September 6, 2001, aged 89. She was predeceased by her husband Roy. Hazel was born to Edith and Alfred Winters in Dauphin on May 6, 1912, into a family with one brother and five sisters. She is survived by her sister Geraldine Childs, of Penticton; her daughters, Sheila Blue, of Lake Suzy, Florida and Yvonne Cantin, of Gimli; her son-in-law Harvey Cantin; three granddaughters, two grandsons, two great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter. In their retirement years, Hazel and Roy traveled across Canada and spent many happy years at the Pine To Palm Resort Park in Weslaco, Texas. She was also a long-time resident of the Deer Lodge Centre. Her family extends their warmest thanks to the staff of T3 for their kind, compassionate care. They are truly the best. Cremation, with service to follow at a later date. Donations in Hazels memory may be directed to the Deer Lodge Foundation.
