DR. HOWARD KAPLAN On September 11, 2001 Dr. Howard Kaplan passed away at the age of 48 years. Howard will be lovingly remembered by his wife Donna; his children, Meghan, Brendan and Carly. He will also be dearly missed by his sister Carole (Joel) Grad; nephews, Michael and Jeffrey of Toronto; brother-in-law Hartley (Karen) Fox; nephew Connor; and mother-in-law Sally Fox, all of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his father Morris, mother Sally and father-in-law Isaac. Howard will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Howard was a warm hearted person who often cared more for others than for himself. He was extremely intelligent and had a strength of character that carried him through trying times. He was an avid supporter of the Nomads football team which his son Brendan plays for. Howard earned a Ph.D in Biochemistry at the University of Manitoba, than furthered his studies in Houston, TX at MD Anderson Hospital, in Winnipeg he was employed by Viventia Biotech. A graveside service was held on September 12, at Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital.
