EVELYN MARY YOUNG On September 8, 2001, Evelyn Mary Young, beloved aunt and great-aunt, aged 84 years, passed away at Deer Lodge Centre. Evelyn was born in Winnipeg and lived at 318 Beaverbrook Street for most of her life. In the 1990s she moved to Lanark Street and had spent this past year at Deer Lodge Centre. Evelyn had worked at Ingram and Bell Surgical Supplies for 40 years retiring in 1981. She was a long time member of St. Andrews River Heights United Church. After retirement she was active in the River Heights Lawn Bowling Club. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Eleanor Young; her brothers, George and Ernie; her sisters, Grace and Winnie; and her uncle Owen Travis. Evelyn is survived by her niece Margaret Eyolfson (and Marvin), her nephew, David Young, her sister-in-law Mrs. George Young (Edith). Evelyn was a loving great-aunt to Alexandra, David, and Kristina Eyolfson. Funeral service was held in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, Broadway at Furby on Wednesday, September 12 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Terry Hidichuk and Janet Walker officiating. The service terminated with a reception at the funeral chapel. Flowers gratefully declined. Should friends desire, a donation may be made in her memory to St. Andrews River Heights United Church, 255 Oak Street, Winnipeg, R3M 3P7 or a favourite charity.
