GROUETTE 1940 - 2001 Peacefully in his sleep after a courageous battle with diabetes, kidney and heart disease, Martin passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2001 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Martin will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 37 years, Annette (nee Tellier) one son, Jean-Paul (J.P.) (Diane Hebert) whom he adored very much. He is also survived by brothers, Raymond (Evelyn), Claude (Pauline) sister Vivian (Denis) and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and in-laws, including his God child Rene Tellier whom he was very proud of. Martin was born in St. Norbert and resided in the surrounding area throughout his life. He worked and retired from the City of Winnipeg after 30 years of service. We would like to thank the staff at 7A West and S.I.C.U. for their kindness during this hard time. A Martin requested, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at the Eagles Club, 3459 Pembina Hwy., Tuesday, September 11 at 3:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association. God saw you getting tired, And when a cure was not to be So He put his arms around you And whispered, "Come to Me". With tearful eyes we watched him suffer And saw him fade away, Although we loved him dearly, We could not make him stay.
