CAROLINE McLEOD (HANSON) (nee GESWEIN) Born in Brunkild, MB, June 6, 1903. Passed away peacefully at Kildonan Personal Care Centre on September 8, 2001. Caroline is survived by her daughter, Martha of Tillsonburg, ON; her sons, Bill (Janine) of Kimberly, BC, Jack of Sarnia, ON, Fred Hanson (Lourdes) of East St. Paul, MB, and James McLeod (Lorraine) of Grand Marais, MB; daughter-in-law Christine; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by Joe Hanson, Alex McLeod and Walter Irvine and sons, George Hanson and Sam McLeod. Caroline spent the greater part of her life in Grand Marais, MB as a housewife and was involved in the commercial fishing industry on Lake Winnipeg. Services will be held at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., on Wednesday, September 12 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow service. A reception will follow at 3308 Henderson Hwy., East St. Paul. Memorial tributes may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Winnipeg.
