Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySAMUEL WEIR HEMBROFF Passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 9, 2001 at the age of 91 years. He was born and raised in Manitoba and was employed with the Royal Bank of Canada for 50 years. Sam and Eunice spent 21 of these years in Wawanesa, Manitoba. They recently moved to Calgary to be near family. Sam was a banker, Mason, Shriner, stamp collector, athlete, community volunteer, Pittsburgh Pirates fan, speaker, and hummingbird watcher. But most of all he was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather (Gpa), brother, uncle and friend. He was known for his kindness, wit, generosity, sense of humour, sweet tooth, and honour. Sam is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Eunice; his daughter Marnie and son-in-law Wally Sholdice; his granddaughters, Jennie Shipley (Robb), Erin Payne (Joey), and Meaghan Sholdice; great-grandsons, Aidan and Willem Shipley and Samuel Payne; sister Jean MacDonald; brother Bruce Hembroff and sister-in-law Irene; sister-in-law Anna McLean (Harvey Lunn) and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAYS "Fish Creek Chapel" (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Thursday, September 13 at 3:00 p.m. To email expressions of sympathy: condolences@mcinnisandholloway.com Subject Heading: Sam Hembroff.
