ALEXANDER SCHULTZ On Sunday, September 9, 2001, Alexander Schultz, aged 81, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. Alex leaves to cherish his memory his wife Alma; sons, Ron, Leonard (Sandra), Lorne (Cathy) daughter Beverly Reimer (James) grandchildren, Andrea, Nicole, Scott, Lori, Kristin, Chad, Melissa; great-grandson Lucas. He will also be lovingly remembered by his sister Edith Gering; his aunt Helen Klepatz; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Alex was predeceased by his wife Eva; mother Emily; father Ludwig; sister Magdalena; brothers, Art and Fred and granddaughter Crystal. Alex was born on August 27, 1920 in Poland. He came to Canada as a young child with his family. Alex retired in 1984 after 37 years of service with Dominion Bridge. He enjoyed some travelling during his retirement years. Family gatherings were a favourite of his. He had a keen sense of humour and could always make us laugh. Many thanks to Dr. Borys, Palliative Care nurses and Home Care staff for their excellent care and compassion. Cremation has taken place and, at Alexs request, no memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. God saw him getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So he put His arms around him and whispered, "Come to me". With tearful eyes we watched him suffer and saw him fade away. Although we love him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our heart to prove to us, He only takes the best. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements, 775-2220.
