Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAUREEN JUNE HENDERSON (nee McMILLAN) On Tuesday, September 11, 2001, Maureen June Henderson (nee McMillan) of Victoria Beach, peacefully passed on in the Pine Falls General Hospital at the age of 59. Her courageous battle with cancer over the past two and one-half years has left everyone she touched with the courage and fight to attack anything head on. Maureen was an active member of the community. She was past-president of the sports club, active within the schools and instrumental in the formation of the First Responders at Victoria Beach. Maureen will be sadly missed by her parents, Murray and Kay McMillan of Winnipeg; her brother Bruce McMillan (Eleanor) of Winnipeg; and her five children, Theresa Niedermayer (Don), Cheryl Parisian (Melvin), Grant Henderson (Bea), Colleen of Victoria Beach and Glen Henderson of Edmonton. She was predeceased by her grandson David. She also leaves to mourn seven grandchildren, (Gordon, Brian, Cassidy, Meagan, Catrina, Tiffanie and Aaron) many nieces and nephews, not to mention over 35 foster children she helped raise over the years. The family would like to thank Dr. Rubinger and the nurses of the CancerCare Center at the Health Sciences Centre and especially Dr. Van Rooyen and the nurses at the Pine Falls General Hospital for all their care and compassion. A memorial service will be held at St. Michaels Church in Victoria Beach on September 14, at 2:00 p.m. Presiding will be Rev. Canon James W. Whitford. In lieu of flowers, donations in Maureens memory may be made to a childrens charity of your choice.
