DOROTHY MAY McCALLION (nee HOUGHTON) "MIZPAH" May the Lord watch between me and thee when we are absent one from another. On Saturday, September 8, 2001, our beloved mother passed away peacefully at the age of 77. Her huge heart has stopped beating here on earth, and her spirit has begun her new journey with her Lord, her husband Ross, her mom Annie, and dad Benjamin, her brother Ken, and two grandchildren, and numerous family and friends. Dorothy, known by a number of people as "Grams, Hoot, Auntie Dodo, Momsie, and Big Dorfy", had the spirit of an angel and will be missed dearly by her family, relatives and friends. Dorothy has left behind many who will miss her, including her three daughters, Leslie St. Germain (Russ) of Beaumont, Kelly McCallion of Calgary, and Cathi McCallion of Calgary; and her favourite son-in-law Russ and four fabulous grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew and Lionel St. Germain of Beaumont, and Meghan Niles of Calgary. A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, September 15 at her home in Ottewell, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
