MARY ANN WARK With a tear in our eye and sadness in our hearts we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Mary Ann Wark, at the age of 91 years on Wednesday, September 12, 2001 at the Selkirk General Hospital. Mary Ann was born June 28, 1910 in Belcourt, North Dakota, and moved to Boissevain, Ninette, Melita, Brandon and the last two years at the Betel Home in Selkirk, where she enjoyed many activities. Mary Ann was a hard worker and devoted to her family. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and baking for her family and was an active member of the United Church. She was predeceased by her husband John; daughters, Norma, Jean and Kay; grandsons, Jeffery Wark and Terry Fox. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her sons, Fred (Anna) of Selkirk, John (Darlene) of Wainwright, AB; daughter Betty (Rolly) Fox of Abbotsford, BC; son-in-law Roy Ross of Melita; 21 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren; also numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and staff of the Betel Home and S.D.G.H. for the excellent care and kindness shown to Mom. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 15 at 2:00 p.m., at the Victoria United Church, Melita, MB. Rev. Richard Cooke officiating, interment at Melita Cemetery.
