EDNA I. WILSON Peacefully, on September 10, 2001 at the Boyne Lodge in Carman, Mom passed away at the age of 93. She was predeceased by her husband Howard in 1963; her parents, John and Esme; one grandson Bill Bourrier in 1992; son-in-law Philip in 1997; foster-son Stuart Hutchinson in 1999; brothers, Alec and Clarence; sisters, Anne (George) Sly, Olive (Chester) Hamilton, Eileen (Percy) Simpson, and Ella (Bert) Blair. She will be sadly missed by her children, Jean (Philip) Bourrier of Pine Falls, and her son Jim (Belva) Wilson of Altamont; her grandchildren, Bob Bourrier of Winnipeg, Jack (Linda) Bourrier of Calgary and their children, Kenny, Lacey, and Billy; Norma (Don) Peckover of Homewood, and their children, Ryan and Kelly, Anne Wilson (Jim Courchesne) of Calgary and Tracey (Larry) Clark of Ohaton, AB, and their children, Jada and Mackenzie; and foster daughter-in-law Helen Hutchinson of Winnipeg; and sister-in-law Lil Greene of Miami, MB and numerous nieces and nephews. She was born on March 14, 1908, in Winnipeg, the middle child of John and Esme (nee McPhail) Green. Her childhood was spent growing up in Winnipeg, and Roseisle, MB. She attended high school in Altamont, MB where she boarded with Jemima Wilson. While staying there she met Howard and they were married on December 29, 1926. They lived and farmed in the Altamont area until they retired to town in 1956. Mom was very active in the community, especially with the Altamont ACW and LOBA. She moved to the Boyne Towers in Carman in 1985 and into Boyne Lodge in September 2000. Funeral service will be held from the Altamont Community Centre in Altamont, MB. on Saturday, September 15 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Alvin Jacobs officiating. Interment will take place in the family plot in Altamont Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Altamont, MB. the Boyne Lodge, Carman, MB. or to a charity of ones choice. Doyles of Carman in care of arrangements.
