WILLIAM (BILL) CARL DODDS 1928 - 2001 Peacefully on Friday, September 14, 2001 with his family by his side, William (Bill) Carl Dodds, beloved husband of Audrey, and father of Lenore (Dick), Elaine (Rick), Susan (Bill), Darlene (Gordie), Barbara, Douglas and Wendy. He also leaves to cherish his memory 12 grandchildren, Erica, Rhea, Ryan, Brandon, Jason, Craig, Amber, Devon, Aaron, Todd, Kristin, and Dexter. Also two great-grandchildren, Shailynn and Kelson. Also four brothers, seven sisters, numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends, also his friends in Mexico. Bill was born and raised in Manitoba, he married Audrey on June 26, 1948 and together raised seven children. Bill was employed at Canada Safeway for 45 years, where he worked as a baker, retiring in 1993. The family sincerely thank all the staff at the Grace Hospital Winnipeg, for all the compassionate care Dad had received. At Bills request, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 18 at 1:00 p.m. at the Praying Hands Columbarium, Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St., just a short walk from the funeral home parking lot with Major Kath McFarlene officiating. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made in Bills memory to the Grace General Hospital Foundation, 300 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, MB, R3J 3M7.
