Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHEILA (SHAYLA) MAVIS KLEIMAN It is with great shock and sorrow that we announce the passing of Sheila Mavis Kleiman (nee Leonoff) at the Victoria Hospital on September 14, 2001. Sheila is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Abe; her brother Mel Leonoff; her three sons, Martin, Jay and Michael; her seven grandchildren, Laura, Daniel, Jenny, Josh, Zach, Katie and Rebecca; and her three daughters-in-law, Sheila, Norma and Sandra. Sheila was born in Winnipeg on March 18, 1928. At the age of twenty-five, she and Abe moved to Saskatoon where she raised her children and was an active member of the Jewish community in that city. Following in the footsteps of her mother, Sarah, Sheila devoted countless hours to the Hadassah Wizo charity. In 1975, Sheila and her family returned to Winnipeg where she continued her charitable work and was honoured with a life membership in Hadassah. Sheila lived every day to its fullest and had many interests. She belonged to the Tuxedo and John Blumberg ladies golf clubs and bowled with the Jewish Womens International. She took great pleasure in entertaining her family and friends with her unsurpassed cooking and baking. Sheila was the center of her family upon whom she focussed her abundant love and energy. She shared her enthusiasm, sense of humour and colourful approach to life with a multitude of lifelong friends. Even brief acquaintances were touched by her generosity, indomitable spirit and unforgettable vibrancy. She was much loved. If so desired, donations in Sheilas memory may be made to the Hadassah Wizo or to a charity of ones choice.
