HELEN SPENST Peacefully on September 13, 2001 at Grunthal Mennon Home, our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at age 89. She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Jake and Mary of Grunthal, Henry and Ruth of Winnipeg; and her daughter Helen and Walter Hamm of Morris; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters, Elizabeth of Abbotsford, BC and Mary of Winnipeg. Helen was predeceased by her husband Jacob in December 1993, a sister and a brother in infancy. The funeral service will be held Monday, September 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Elim Church, Grunthal, with viewing prior to the service and Rev. Henry Warkentin officiating. Interment at the Grunthal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Menno Home Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
