Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCORNELIS (CASE) MOERMAN It is with great sadness that the family announcesthe sudden passing of Cornelis (Case) Moerman on Monday, September 17, 2001. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Sieny; daughters, Margaret (Glenn) Hogg of Warren, Esther (Ross) Murison of Winnipeg; son Bob (Kathy) Moerman of Calgary; his grand- children, Steven (Erin) Hogg and Lisa Hogg, Kathryn (Gregg) Tomy, Scott, Karen, Michael and Geoffrey Murison, Alexis Moerman; and great-grandson Caden Tomy. Also left to mourn are siblings, Ger Lapoutre, Bob (Ria) Moerman, Dick Moerman, Greet Dobbenberg; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, most of whom live in the Netherlands. Born in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, on February 27, 1925 to Abraham and Margaretha Moerman. He spent his childhood in the Netherlands and in 1949 married Geziena (Sieny) Wiardi, together they immigrated to Canada in 1951 and settled in Morden, MB. Case was employed at the Morden Experimental Station and in 1954 entered the ministry. He served as a Minister of the United Church of Canada at several charges throughout Manitoba before becoming an agricultural missionary in 1962 in Kobe, Japan. This was an experience that brought fond memories to him and his family. In 1971 Case and family returned to Canada where he became Minister of the Warren - Rosser Pastoral charge. It was during the next 15 years that he became closely involved with the many families in the area. During the years at Warren he undertook the task of building a retirement home for Sieny and himself. An accomplishment of which he was very proud. He was a skilled woodworker, an avid gardener, as well as a creator of numerous oil paintings. Above all else his family was most important to him and because of the love they shared and the joy they brought he would often tell Sieny that he felt they were truly blessed. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, his many friends and acquaintances. A memorial service will be held at the Warren United Church on Thursday, September 20 at 2:00 p.m. Bev Ward will officiate. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired donations in his memory may be made to a church or charity of ones choice. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
