GARY DAHL It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of our brother Gary on September 18, 2001, after a brief battle with cancer. Gary was born on September 3, 1947 in Portage la Prairie, MB and was the second son of Thomas and Lois Dahl. Gary was predeceased by his parents, Thomas in 1995 and by Lois in 1998. He leaves to mourn his passing his sister and best friend Linda Scott, brother Richard, sister Heather Bradshaw, sister Shirley Powers, brother Gordon and brother Donald. Gary lived a simple life, never needing much or asking for much, but would always lend a helping hand if asked. During the last few years of his life, he worked at Richlu Sportswear Ltd., and it was evident during his stay in the hospital that he had made many good friends there who would often come to visit him. Gary was very grateful to all who visited him and sincerely appreciated these visits. The last few days of Garys life were spent at the Riverview Health Centre where he was very happy being able to get outdoors and enjoy his last couple of days. The family would like to thank the staff of 3 East at Riverview for the care and compassion shown to both Gary and his family. Memorial services will be held at the Lincoln Motor Inn, 1030 McPhillips St., on Tuesday, September 25 at 1:00 p.m. Private interment of Garys cremated remains will take place in the family plot in Portage la Prairie at a later date.
