ELEANOR M. SCOTT 1921 - 2001 Eleanor peacefully passed away on Friday, September 14, 2001 with Dale and Carol by her side. Beloved wife of Ed, loving mother of son Dale and Carol, Winnipeg, daughters, Bunnie and Jim Robinson, Oakville, ON, and Joanne and Jim Hood, Edmonton, AB. Eleanor was a wonderful Grandmother to Ron (Vancouver), Darren (Edmonton), Tracy (Gary Jones) and Rebecca Scott, Winnipeg, Stacey (Toronto), Pam (Oakville), Tanya (Jason Scott, Sudbury) Jennings; Angela and Sandra Elliott (Edmonton), Michelle Hood (Edmonton) and great-grandsons, Kyle and Kent Jones, Winnipeg. Eleanor was born October 24, 1921 to Pete and Bernice Brown of St. James. She is predeceased by her parents and a sister Ruth Cook. Eleanor is also survived by brothers, Len and Sharon Brown, Bill and Maureen Brown; sisters, Peg Lennon, Shirley and Ron McCormick. Eleanor always thought of herself as a caregiver and that she did extremely well. She took care of her husband, her children, her grandchildren, her friends and her home. Eleanor was always ready to help anyone, anytime; along with this, Eleanor was a foster mother to over 125 children. Many, many children called her Mom. Eleanor loved living at the Charleswood Care Centre. She took part in all activities and she enjoyed socializing with the other residents on the S.N.U. The family extends our sincere thanks to all of the staff at the Care Centre. Kate, Janet and the many others of the S.N.U. - thank you for your kindness. A memorial service for Eleanor will be held Friday, September 21 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, if they wish, friends may send a donation to Activity Department S.N.U., Charleswood Care Centre, 5501 Roblin Blvd., Winnipeg, MB, R3R 0G8.
