PAT FOSSAY Peacefully on Thursday, September 20, 2001, Pat Fossay died at the Grace Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Daughter of the late Richard and Lily Walker, she is survived by her husband Gordon to whom she was married for 48 years; son Grant (Patsy) Fossay of Headingley, son Craig Fossay of Toronto, son Eric Fossay (Joan Anderson) of Headingley; cherished grandchildren, Jason and Dayna Fossay. She also leaves to mourn her sisters, Mildred (Russ) Bowdery, Joyce (Edward) Turner; best friend Freda Laxdal and many other family and friends. Pat attended Phoenix School. After graduating, she worked for six years at the Royal Bank in the Grain Exchange Building in Winnipeg. Pat will always be remembered for her special warmth with people and devotion to her family and friends. She spent many hours working on her beautiful quilts and was active in the Manitoba Prairie Quilters. Pat also had a keen interest in dogs. Her chief passion though was peoplekeeping in touch supporting and inspiring. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks for the kind care and compassion of the staff of the Grace Hospital Palliative Care Ward, home care workers and Dr. Pat Harris. Memorial donations may be made to the Headingley United Church or to a charity of your choice. A memorial service will take place on Monday, September 24 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception will follow.
