ALVIN D. AMMETER On Thursday, September 20, 2001 at the Victoria Hospital, Alvin D. Ammeter, aged 77, passed away peacefully with his family, his constant support and comfort during his illness and stay in hospital. Alvin is survived by his wife Ethel, his constant and loving partner for 46 years. He is also survived by his two special sons, Rodney and Terry (Karen) his grandchildren, Nichole, Ryan and Jason who were his pride and joy. He always felt his grandchildren and his daughter-in-law Karen were a bonus blessing in his life. He spent many good days at the lake fishing with his family. He is survived by one brother Alfred of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Pauline Ammeter; one brother Ewald and three sisters, Erna (Wielander), Lina (Schlag) and Bertha (Kalcsics). He is also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces and in-laws. Thanks to all who supported the family during Alvins illness. Special thanks to Walter Ammeter who visited hm regularly and cheered him up with the many good stories of hunting and fishing trips they shared with his late cousin Erwin. Thanks also to Louise who cheered and supported us by her phone calls. We also wish to thank the nurses at the Victoria Hospital who tried to make Alvins stay comfortable. Alvin lived and farmed in Starbuck all his life. He enjoyed farming and could always laugh and joke even in tough times. We will miss and cherish the memory of a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. A private family service will be held with interment at Starbuck Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Starbuck, the Starbuck Cemetery Fund, or a charity of ones choice. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
