Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLIFFORD GEORGE MacLEAN Clifford George (Cliff), beloved husband of Nellie MacLean of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Colonel Belcher Veterans Care Centre on August 6, 2001 at the age of 79 years. Cliff was born and raised in Manitoba. He served with the Canadian Army (Artillery) during the Second World War in France, where he was wounded in action. Cliff and Nellie moved to Calgary in 1978. During his time in Calgary, Cliff was employed at the Colonel Belcher in security. Cliff will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 36 years, Nellie; stepson Lockey; stepdaughters, Audrey, Donalda and Cleo; grandchildren, Carlissa, Crystall, Jacqueline and Lockey Jr.; brother Cameron; sister Anna Marie; and many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Frances MacLean; sisters, Jean and Audrey; brothers, Alex, Earle, Douglas, Harold and Hugh. A graveside service was held in the Field of Honour at Queens Park Cemetery on Saturday, August 11 at 10:00 a.m. A memorial service was held in the Chapel of the Colonel Belcher Veterans Care Centre on Saturday, August 11 at 2:00 p.m., with Chaplain Philip Costain officiating.
