DAVID DYCK Peacefully, on September 20, 2001, David Dyck passed away at the River East Personal Care Home at the age of 84 years. He is predeceased by his four brothers and four sisters. David was born in Rosenfeld, MB, on September 25, 1916. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Olga of 64 years of marriage; and his two sons, Harvey (Dawn) of Winnipeg, and Loren (Joanne) of Cleveland, Ohio; his two grandchildren, David (Sharon) Dyck of Winnipeg and Denise (Tony) Naim of Winnipeg; his great-granddaughter Piper Anne Naim, and many relatives and friends. David retired from Canada Packers in 1981 after 38 years of service. He was an avid bowler and won many trophies and was never too busy to go hunting with his son. Camping with the family was another source of pleasure for David. On his retirement, David had great enjoyment in pursuing his hobbies of wood working and tinkering with cars. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 25, at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens and a gathering for family and friends will be held in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. Flowers are gratefully declined. In Davids memory donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 9S6.
