NONA ELIZABETH McDONALD May 21, 1954 - September 22, 2001 After a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis, Nona passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, September 22, 2001. She leaves to mourn her passing, two daughters, Kyla Hunter (Nathan) and Colleen Hedlund (Terry) five grandchildren, Shaunessey, Matthew and Reiss, Sara and Samantha; her mother Eileen Jones; sister Carol Schott (Wade) two brothers, Ray Jones (Georgette) and John Jones (Lee) many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Tom Jones and sister Patricia Jones. Nona was everyones friend. She lived in Warren most of her life until she moved to Rosewood Lodge in 1994 when she became unable to cope with the disease at home. She was a member of the Church of the Annunciation for many years and taught Sunday School there. Nona graduated from Warren Collegiate in 1972 and was proud to have been chosen to give the Valedictory Address. She married Bob McDonald in 1973 and had many happy years with her family. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nonas memory to the Multiple Sclerosis (Manitoba Branch) 141 Bannatyne Ave. The family wish to extend many thanks to the Rosewood Lodge Staff and all the Home Care Staff for their support and kindness through the years. A memorial service will be held at a later date. MacKenzie Funeral Home Stonewall in care of arrangements.
