MARY SMITH 1907 - 2001 Peacefully our most beloved mother passed away in her sleep on September 22, 2001. Mom is survived by her devoted and loving daughter Norma and caring son-in-law Lawrence Gans. Also sharing in our grief are her son Kenneth and daughter-in-law Sophie Smith. She leaves behind grandson Wayne (Lori) and great-grandson Kenny Smith, granddaughter Elaine (Rodney) and great-granddaughter Hannah Crook; grandson Keith (Lucy) and great-grandchildren, Breanna and Trent Gans. Mom was a very independent and capable person until her stroke. Talented in many ways. Never afraid to try new things. Witty, fun to be with and loved her family dearly. Surviving are her sisters, Julia and Helena (Adam) brother Steve (Helen), and brother-in-law Joseph. Predeceased are her brother Joseph and sisters, Anna and Jean. We would like to thank the Middlechurch Home for their understanding and kindness. At Moms request cremation has taken place and a private graveside burial will take place at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
