EMILIE ARNT On September 24, 2001 our mother, and grandmother passed away at the Donwood Personal Care Home, three months short of her 100th birthday. She is survived by all nine of her children, Olga, Donald (Iola), Arnold (Barb), Ted (Norma), Bert (Morley), Harold (Ida), Ed (Ruth), Elmer (Linda), Linda (Jim). She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren, as well as a sister Bert Martin and a brother Rev. Ed Rode. Emilie was predeceased by her first husband Gus in 1928, her second husband Adolf in 1975, by a son-in-law Reinhold a grandson Michael and a granddaughter Janis. Mother was very fond of the long life she had on the farm at Manitou and continually expressed her thoughts about her many years there. A service will be held on Friday, September 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 350 Gilmore Ave. with Pastor Brad Schollenberg officiating. Pallbearers will be six grandsons, Dage, Stevyn and George Arnt, Craig and Mark Rosen and Scott Dennis. Please make donations to a charity of your choice. The family extends thanks to the staff of Donwood Personal Care Home for the excellent care and kindness shown. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
