SHIRLEY ANNE WADGE Sadly, as a result of cancer, with her husband by her side, Shirley Wadge passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on Sunday, September 23, 2001. She was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Jean Keeping. Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her husband Frank; sister Joni Devlin; "Uncle" Gordon and Aline; and her many cousins. Aunty Shirley will be especially missed by her nieces, Shauna, Lisa, and Keena; and grandnieces and nephews. Shirley was born on March 2, 1945, and was raised and educated in Winnipeg. After marrying Frank in 1978, they spent as much of their summers as possible at West Hawk Lake. The last six years Frank and Shirley wintered in Texas where Shirley made many friends from across North America. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 27, at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. Frank and family would especially like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff involved with Shirleys care and treatment which was provided in the most competent and compassionate manner. In lieu of flowers, should friends so wish, donations can be made in Shirleys memory to a charity of your choice.
