JERRY ZAPORZAN It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Jerry Zaporzan, on Monday, September 24, 2001, at Riverview Health Centre. Born in Stuartburn, MB, in 1914, Jerrys memory will be lovingly cherished by Margaret, his wife of 53 years; sons, Wayne (Olga), Allen (Barbara), Darcy (Brenda) daughter Diane Bampton (Glen) grandchildren, Ryan, Alex and Olivia. He will also be sadly missed by his sisters, brothers and their families. A member of Legion 215, Jerry was in the PPCLI during the Second World War and served overseas for six years. A lifelong employee of Marshall Wells, Jerry retired in December of 1980. Jerry loved the lake and truly enjoyed his summers with Marg and friends at their Gimli cottage. In winter the two snowbirds jetted off to Mexico. An avid outdoorsman, Jerry loved hunting, fishing and golfing. Jerry loved life and taught us all to live life to the fullest. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 28 at 10:00 a.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 East at Green Acres Lane. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Jerrys memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8.
