DAVID RICHARD JAMES (1949-2001) Died peacefully at home in Winnipeg, September 24, 2001 following a long illness. Sadly missed by his partner, Judy Battershill, daughters, Monique and Michelle, their mother Yvette Beaudry, son-in-law Travis Carter, sister and brother-in-law Elaine and Bernard Scrivener, and nieces, Monica and Yvette Scrivener. David will be forever remembered by his many friends and family, for his love, keen wit, and practical jokes. Born in Winnipeg, and attended Ravenscourt school, he graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1972 with a Masters Degree in Science and Geology. David had a notable career as a mining analyst. He loved the prairies, lake and outdoors, and had a passion for collecting antique firearms related to the history of the west and the buffalo hunt. Visitation September 27, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave. (entrance on Aubrey Street). Funeral service Friday, September 28, 11:00 a.m. at Cathedral Church of St. John, 135 Anderson Ave. If desired, remembrances may be made to Ducks Unlimited Canada, P.O.
