DANIEL ALBERT CROCKER Peacefully on Tuesday, September 25, 2001 Dan passed away at Riverview Health Centre after a lengthy illness. Dan is survived by his brother William (Nancy) of Rathwell, MB; sister Joyce Kaltenberger; sister-in-law Betty Ashton; brother-in-law Percy (Ruth) Sarahs as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife Nellie in 1996; his parents, William and Ivy Crocker; his brother Donald in Sussex, England; brothers-in-law, Bud Ashton, Alex Kaltenberger and Roy Sarahs. Dan was born in Oakville, MB., December 24, 1921, moving to St. James with his parents at an early age. He attended Britannia School and then worked at the family "North Devon Dairy". He then travelled throughout Manitoba with Palm Dairies. Dan was a real estate agent for Patrick Agencies, until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, curling and golfing and was proud of his "hole-in-one". He took joy in growing tomatoes and raspberries and readily passed them on to family and neighbors. He was adviser and friend to all and always added a touch of humor. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 1 at 2:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave. Interment to follow in St. James Cemetery. The family extends thanks to Dr. Rubinger and Joanne of CancerCare, the staff at Grace Hospital and Health Sciences Centre, Debra Chochinov and all his home care workers and to the staff of Palliative Care 3 East at Riverview Health Centre.
